So, I hear you ask, what is it that makes travelling with Face Africa Ethical and, more interestingly, Original?  Well, the Ethical side is mostly covered under the Fair Trade in Tourism section. So let’s deal with Originality here.

Only Africa

We only work in Africa.  It’s what we know, and we know it well.  Our main office is located in Cape Town – we like to keep our finger on the pulse.  The team have spent many years travelling and working their way all around the continent and this is reflected in all those special unexpected treats that are part and parcel of our itineraries.  This might be a dip in a clear-water spring hidden by the road in Northern Namibia; it could be dancing and singing with a gospel choir in a watering hole in the townships of Port Elizabeth; it might even be letting in the winning goal in a soccer game against orphans in Uganda.  Whatever it turns out to be, we understand that these are the moments that define your travel. You can’t always plan them, spontaneity is key, but we will do our best to put you in the right place.  You’re unlikely to find many others there because (ahem) their travel providers may not venture there too often…

Benefits for you

Our itineraries are specifically designed to give you the opportunity to explore and discover the places, wildlife and (no less importantly) the people who make Africa so special.  We will not protect you from Africa, far from it.  Don’t worry - we’ll ensure your safety.  But our people and partners are trained to act as interpreters: to aid discovery, understanding and involvement. To ensure that when you leave (if you leave), that you have had your chance to come face-to-face with the real Africa.
We make efforts to really understand what you are looking for from your holiday and offer suggestions and plans to help you achieve it.  You will normally deal with just one travel specialist who will be there to answer any questions as you book your trip, and if you’re coming to Cape Town, they may even be there to meet you when you arrive.  You can’t get much more original than that!
