Amboseli Tortilis Camp

Amboseli Tortilis Camp l Sundowner drinks

Amboseli Tortilis Camp is situated just outside the Amboseli National Park, south of Nairobi - Amboseli is best known for its local elephant population and magnificent views of Mount Kilimanjaro. There are over 1000 elephants found in the park’s ecosystem, some of the largest found anywhere in East Africa. The camp is situated just outside the Amboseli National Park and is named after the Acacia Tortilis, a flat-topped thorn tree endemic to the area.

Accommodation consists of 17 spacious canvas tents raised on wooden platforms - a large thatched roof covers both the tent and open verandah, where you can enjoy a siesta or gaze out over the savannah plains. The en suite bathrooms feature flush toilets and hot showers. There is also a Family House, consisting of 2 en suite bedrooms, dining room and verandah. Each tent is naturally screened from others by trees and shrubs, providing privacy for each guest.

Enjoy twice daily game drives in open 4x4 safari vehicles. Your guides will interpret the sights and sounds of the bush as you track the animals in the area in search of the Big 5. Nature walks are also available, as are cultural visits to nearby communities. In between safari activities, relax by the pool, watch the elephant families forage close to camp or simply enjoy the views from your verandah.
