Jacana Lodge is located in the Maramagambo Forest of the Queen Elizabeth National Park. Set on the edge of a stunning crater lake, Jacana Lodge has been designed in harmony with its surroundings. The seven cottages are made of wood, stone and thatch, and each is positioned with a view of the lake. Each has an en-suite bathroom with a hot-water shower and flushing toilet.
The main lodge area boasts a comfortable dining room and lounge area with a roaring fireplace for those cool evenings. Down at the lower deck, at the water's edge, is a crystal clear swimming pool and sauna & massage facility. Here too you can board the Captain's Table, a floating pontoon boat on the lake, for dinner on the water. You can also take a boat trip to the other side of the lake where a group of wild chimpanzees can be heard, and occasionally glimpsed…
Jacana Lodge is well positioned for accessing the Ishasha Plains in the southwest of the park as well as the Kasenyi Plains in the east and the Kyambura Gorge.
