Situated on over 1,800 hectares of private land in the midst of Madikwe Game Reserve, this lodge offers the latest in safari chic. With a capacity of just 16 guests, Makanyane Safari Lodge affords each of its eight one-bedroom thatched suites true seclusion. Thanks to the clear glass walls in each suite, guests have unobstructed views of the Marico River and the surrounding forest. Attached outdoor showers afford you the novel chance to bathe amidst the natural surroundings. The main lodge, which houses the lodge, dining room, library and curio shop, is dramatically positioned to overlook a stream flowing through a ravine.

A prime spot for animal watching is the infinity-edge outdoor pool that seems to flow over into the surrounding bush, and game are often seen drinking from the stream-fed watering hole below. Massage and other spa treatments can be provided al fresco.

The sumptuous meals are prepared using the finest ingredients and fresh local produce.
