All the five guest suites are situated around one of the hills, radiating outwards so that each has its own view of the waterhole and plains. From the wildebeest and zebra gathering at the waterhole to the lions roaring at night, guests are thoroughly immersed in the sights and sounds of nature.

Each suite has its own infinity-edge pool and deck, hand-crafted mahogany furnishing and a four-poster bed. Additional touches such as open-air showers and window salas bring nature even closer.

After a day of game-viewing or soaking up some indigenous culture, Mateya brings things to a splendid close with a romantic evening of fine dining in the authentic boma. In the open-air Fire Core, guests dine on the round deck surrounding an open fire, where the chef whips up a sterling African fusion meal.
