Porini Lion Camp is situated in the 20,000 acre Olare Orok Conservancy, which borders the Masai Mara Game Reserve. Experience all the wonders of the Mara ecosystem, including the big cats for which the Mara is famous. Located on the banks of the Ntiakatiak River, which is seasonal, there are some permanent hippo pools near the camp, as well as excellent birding in the area. Enjoy an optional balloon flight at dawn and experience the magical African sunsets…

The Camp
Porini Lion Camp is intimate and exclusive with only 10 luxury tents, offering a very personal service. The tents are spacious and decorated in neutral colours – each feature a private verandah where you can enjoy some privacy while taking in the beauty of the African wilderness. The tents also feature en suite bathrooms with flush toilets and hot showers. Enjoy excellent, high quality meals and freshly baked breads prepared by the camp chef.

The Experience
Your experience in the Masai Mara will be one to rival all others: Enjoy morning and evening game drives in custom built 4x4 safari vehicles in search of the Big 5: lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo. The Mara is big cat country, so you can expect to see lion, leopard and cheetah, the latter which hunts during the day. Night drives are offered on the Olare Orok Conservancy and gives you the opportunity to look for nocturnal animals such as bat-eared foxes, porcupines and serval cats. On the afternoon drives, enjoy a sundowner drink at a scenic view point. Escorted bush walks with the Masaai warriors are also on offer.
