Lovingly restored to its original mid-19^th century glory, the building now houses Rosenhof Country House, an exclusive guesthouse that extends its hospitality to visitors seeking a little rest and relaxation in tranquil surroundings.

The 12 bedrooms open out onto the central rose garden, where a tall bronze fountain sends a sparkling stream of water into a marble pool. At night, the scent of roses carries into the rooms and perfumes the air.

The two executive suites boast high levels of luxury, with private outdoor pools of their own, and are located slightly further away from the main house for the ultimate in privacy. These suites are almost mini-cottages in themselves, with separate lounge and patio areas, and command impressive views of the Swartberg Mountain.

Observe the rich ecology of the region at the Wildlife Ranch and Ostrich Farm, while the geologically inclined will favour the Cango Caves. Sports enthusiasts are well looked after at Oudtshoorn Adventure Centre.
