Siana Springs is situated on the eastern edge of the Masai Mara Game Reserve, at the base of the Ngama Hills and in the midst of a lush indigenous forest. The name comes from the large natural springs on the property, Siana meaning ‘plentiful’. The morning, evening and night game drives with trained guides will undoubtedly be the highlight of your stay as you search for animals grazing the plains of the Mara ecosystem. Walking safaris are also available and an optional balloon safari will create memories to last a lifetime!
Siana Springs is committed to social upliftment and environmental conservation policies. The local Nkoilali Primary School was built with support from Siana Springs, and they continue to fund developments at the school. The camp is very much involved with the local communities and 60% of the staff at the camp are from the local area. Water at the camp is heated using environmentally-friendly charcoal dust pellets and biodegradable waste is mulched to make compost. Waste water is recycled wherever possible.
Accommodation is provided in three wings, each offering a different view on this unique landscape. Bamboo Wing is surrounded by bamboo groves and ornamental flowering trees, Acacia Wing is surrounded by acacia woodland rich in birdlife and Palm Wing overlooks the lush indigenous forest and lily-clad ponds. The camp offers 38 rooms in total, each featuring large single or double beds, writing desk and en suite bathroom with flush toilets and hot showers.
Meals are taken in the main dining area with open air terrace, perfect for enjoying a meal while watching the vervet monkeys play nearby. You can also relax with a book in the lounge, enjoy a drink at the bar or enjoy a refreshing swim on a hot summers day.
