Ten Bompas

Ten Bompas/Johannesburg. Tucked amongst the comfortable upper middle-class homes is a top boutique hotel for leisure and business travellers alike. Ten interior designers were each asked to decorate one of the hotel's 10 suites in their interpretation of an African theme. The result is 10 unique representations of Africa, unified by their use of art and sculpture.

The close-knit staff greet guests by name, and personally see them off to work in the morning when the keys are handed in at the reception. Upon the evening return, staff are waiting at the end of the driveway with room keys in hand and a friendly smile.

Suites come with fireplaces, steam showers and complimentary high-speed internet.

Ten Bompas' five-star restaurant, Sides, offers an excellent menu of food and wine. Going right back to basics, it serves classic cuisine and old home-style favourites. Wine comes from the two-storey, 10,000-bottle cellar stocked with a fine selection of vintage Cape Winemakers Guild labels.
