Garden Route

Garden Route | South Africa

Describing the luxuriant coastal strip roughly between Mossel Bay east of Cape Town and Storm's River west of Port Elizabeth, it is for good reason that the Garden Route is South Africa's most internationally recognised tourist destination after Kruger National Park.

Additional Information

It's along the Garden Route that you can catch some of the world's best waves at Jeffrey's and Victoria Bay. At 216 metres, there's the highest bungee in the world at Tsitsikamma.

There's amazing variety in the natural landscape. In the aptly named Wilderness national park, steep forested slopes meet beautiful stretches of white sand and estuaries filled with birds. At the village of Nature's Valley, deep forested gorges take rivers dramatically from the Tsitsikamma Mountains to the Indian Ocean. Behind these mountains - which rise to 1700m, the Karoo semi-desert is different altogether.

The garden route offers the chance to construct a wilderness or adrenalin-fuelled adventure as much as it suits a family holiday or a private escape. With truly memorable accommodation ranging from sea-view camp sites to private villas perched on cliff edges, let Face Africa construct the perfect holiday for you.
