Nyungwe Forest National Park

Nyungwe Forest | Rwanda

The magnificent Nyungwe Forest provides an excellent reason for visiting the south of the country. Nyungwe is one of the most important catchment areas in Rwanda and provides water to some 70% of the country. A must see for any visitor to the country, the national park is densely wooded, mountainous, remote and filled with the most exotic and bio-diverse wildlife. Nyungwe is probably the most important destination in Rwanda for birders, with more than 280 species recorded to date.
