Victoria Falls

Victoria Falls | Zambia

It has an average flow of 1 million litres of per second…and 10 times that amount during the rainy season. Victoria Falls is rightly considered one of the 7 natural wonders of the world and certainly one of those places that's a must-see before you die!

Additional Information

Ever since David Livingstone reported its existence to the world in 1860, generations have been inspired to make the pilgrimage to its jaws.

Let the rising spray soak you and be deafened by the roar of the plummeting water. Get as close to the edge as you dare - in search of that perfect photographic shot.

Today though, a trip here is so much more than 'just about the waterfall'. Descend the world's most exhilarating rapids by raft. Leap off that 'perfectly good bridge' with nothing more than a bungee cord attached to your leg. Jump out of that 'perfectly good plane' in the hope that your parachute will open properly. Jet boat, abseil, canoe and kayak, fish for the toothy tigerfish, ride helicopters and elephants, quodbikes or horses....

And finish the day with a gin and tonic, cruising along the Zambezi's tranquil upper lagoons at sunset - or take a scenic microlight flight - just in case you've tried everything else!
