Suggested Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at Selenkay Conservancy
Day 1: Arrival at Selenkay Conservancy

This morning you will set off from Nairobi – the drive to Amboseli takes about 4 hours. You will arrive in time for lunch – enjoy a sumptuous meal prepared by the head chef. The camp is shaded by Acacia Tortilis trees, providing a true bush ambience. Following afternoon tea, you will be escorted to the traditional Masaai village to get an insight into their culture and way of life – a real eye-opener! Return to camp for dinner and a nightcap by the campfire.

Day 2: Selenkay Conservancy
Day 2: Selenkay Conservancy

Enjoy an early breakfast before setting off for the Amboseli National Park for a full morning of game viewing. The national park encompasses savannah woodland and extensive swampland, fed by seasonal springs making this area excellent for bird watching. Large herds of elephant are also present and Amboseli is indeed the best place to view families of elephants at close quarters. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed before returning to camp for some down time. An evening game drive in the Selenkay Conservancy offers the opportunity to explore the nocturnal animals such as bat-eared foxes, serval cats and aardvark. Sundowner drinks will be enjoyed at a scenic view point before returning to camp for dinner.

Day 3: Ol Kinyei Conservancy
Day 3: Ol Kinyei Conservancy

After breakfast this morning, we will set off for Nairobi, arriving at lunchtime. Lunch is enjoyed at the famous Carnivore Restaurant, specialising in a variety of game meats. An afternoon flight from Wilson Airport brings you to the Mara and the Ol Kinyei Conservancy. The conservancy is community-owned and the local Masaai have set aside this area for the exclusive use of Mara Porini Camp. This means total exclusivity on game drives – no other vehicles in sight! Another bonus is that the conservancy is on one of the main migration routes, which means excellent game viewing from your doorstep during the migration period, roughly June - October. Enjoy an afternoon game drive before returning to camp for dinner.
